At Resurrection School, we use an evidence-based approach to literacy which is both fun and engaging for all learners. All students learn through a phonics approach which assists them to become successful readers and spellers. This explicit and systematic approach teaches and revises phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension.

Students from Year 3 – 6 teachers use literacy experiences to actively promote growth at each student’s individual level so that every student can experience success. Teachers carefully observe students’ learning styles and teach, support and extend their thinking about visual and digital texts.
